Barbie

Apparently Target has a special edition Barbie just for her 50th birthday. She is being sold at the 1959 price of $3!! I hear she is hard to find but I'm going to try. I think I'm going to stop by Target on my way home. Shhh...don't tell Derek, he doesn't understand my fascination with all things Barbie! I mean if we have a little girl someday I have to be prepared, right?!

Welcome to the World Makenzie!

Our dear friends Janet and Matt welcomed their precious little girl into the world last Thursday. We rushed over to the hospital on Thursday evening to get our very first glimpse of sweet Makenzie! She is such a blessing! Congrats Janet and Matt! We love you all!

SING 2009!

We had a wonderful weekend in Waco. My sister, Caroline, was particpating this year in Sing for the first time with her sorority. Sing is an annual music and dance show that the sororities and fraternities participate in. Each club chooses an orginial theme and creates a 7 minute sing and dance act. They are then judged on their performance/singing/choreography/costumes/backdrop and the top 8 clubs advance to Pigskin in the fall. Sing is such a fun tradition at Baylor and one that Derek and I have so many fond memories of. While we were in Waco, we had lunch with Heather and Emily at Schmaltz (a Waco favorite)! Then it was off to Sing that evening. The show lasted about 5 hours but it was well worth it to see all the amazing broadway-style acts! Caroline watched me and Derek when we were in Sing and she always wanted to be apart of it. Now she is and I love that we can share in this wonderful tradition. Caroline did an amazing job and I was so proud of my little sis (I knew she would do great, she was born to be on stage)!

My obsession

I am seriously obsessed with The Bachelor this season. I know its ridiculous but its so interesting to me. I am so obsessed that when I'm bored I get online and try to find spoilers. I usually go to abc.com and read the message boards. Some of the posts are interesting but most of them are just plain rude! I have come across a website that has some pretty interesting information about this season of The Bachelor. Has anyone heard of reality steve? He claims to know the outcome of this season and has some very juicy details. If you want to be spoiled go to www.realitysteve.com. I have no idea if any of what he states on his blog is true. If it is true, then this season is crazy!!

Every night...

When we go to bed Roxy sleeps right next to me. Every morning when I get up, she moves and places herself right on top of Derek's back.

Valentines day decoration

I made this cute centerpiece for Valentines day. It was super easy! Just put a smaller vase inside of a bigger vase. Fill the smaller vase with flowers and the outer vase with conversation hearts. I got the 2 vases at Walmart for $6 total!
